The 715-bed scheme – which will be named Fortis Quay – was designed by Bowman Riley Architects and when completed will include the tallest building in Salford Quays.

This is the fourth scheme whereby LSH has secured planning consent on behalf of Fortis Developments.

Michael O’Brien, senior planner at LSH, said: “This latest consent reflects the burgeoning residential offer in Salford, which benefits from a good supply of former commercial and industrial land with excellent transport links to Manchester city centre, making it an appealing proposition to residential developers.”

LSH provided advice on the project and co-ordinated the preparation and submission of the application for 593 apartments and townhouses.

Development of the scheme is expected to begin after the signing of a s106 agreement with the first two phases of the development scheduled for completion in 2018.

The four schemes by Fortis Developments are expected to deliver around 1,700 residential units in total.
